We usually use Fresh Step's clay cat litter. Recently she has been throwing up a lot. First i noticed a lot of hair in the puke so two days ago i changed her food to hairball formula. I then started to notice something similar to cat litter in her puke. I confirmed that it is litter yesterday when i found her eating the litter. She doesnt eat her poop, its just the litter... Should i change her litter?

cats that eat litter are ill kitties. you need to take your cat to the vet and find out what is wrong.

That is so weird, if possible you may want to take your cat to a vet. That stuff can be toxic if ingested. If you cant go to the vet call poison control.
Yes defiantly change the litter. Try Not So Fresh Steps. Obviously the Fresh Steps are too fresh. (lol)

I use fresh step to if i run out I use paper or a plastic bag with some grass she adapts very well make sure there is no food in her litter but that is your cats way of telling you her litter is dirty she is trying to keep it clean they are very fen icky try arm and hammer may be she will feel better.with you using that.

Besides definitely changing litter, maybe just using plain sandbox sand for awhile,........ give her some fresh washed unsprayed with pesticide grass!
I gather she's an indoor cat and is craving for something, anything to clean her system out.
My experience is that my indoor cats must puke up some yellow/green bile when I give them grass to feel better,.. aids their digestion and cleanse their system,... natural way.
Try it.

Whoa, that's very strange. You might want to try a non-clay litter and see how that goes, maybe something like Feline Pine?

Hello. My name is Marta, I have two cats and little experience with their habits. I think you should give your cat : grass. It is good way to clean cat's stomach which is full hair. My cats love eating grass.they vomit later but it is natural cleaning process. And maybe you think about reduce cat's food and your pet should be on diet for couple of days. Cats are very choosy don't worry if she/he eat nothing , your pet aren't going to die only make you to give him/her what he/she wants.I'm sure your little friend needs the grass. Send my regards. I think you should check her diet to see what she is eating that makes her want to eat the litter to induce vomiting.
