This is apparently a messianic prophecy, but what was the meaning in the context of Israel before the exile?

Virgo the Virgin is the astrological and astronomical symbol present in the night sky and signified spring, the start of the year in the ancient calendar. The 'son' or Sun starts its progression from short days/long nights of winter to long days/ short nights of spring at the equinox, co-incidentally (?) also being Easter which was celebrated 2500yrs before Christs birth.

The Name Israel (Is - ra - el) is taken from the Prominent Egyptian Gods, Isis Amen - Ra and El. (Saturn)

Amen-Ra (Horus) was conceived of a virgin birth, born on December 25th, Died and was risen after3 days became a teacher at 12, started his ministry at 30 and died at 33 and had dozens of other 'similarities' over 3000yrs before Jesus.

In fact the only difference between them is that there is a belief in Jesus and an actual, carved in stone, record of Amen-Ra.

I'm assuming you're refering to the alleged prophecy in Isaiah.

Several things wrong with this. Firstly, the Hebrew word used does not mean "virgin". It means "young unmarried woman".

Secondly, the rest of the chapter does not give any indication of being a messianic prophecy. It's talking about the return from exile in Babylon.

Thirdly, the very same sentence goes on to say "and his name shall be Emanuel". Not Jesus.

you can find a free download of King Arthur Gold here: http://bitly.com/1qXIxp3

Finally the full version is avaiable!
Players of the King Arthur’s Gold title are required to construct siege machines for the destruction of their enemies, buildings for the production of military units and resources, and of course mines for gold.
It's the best game of its category.

Just the same as it turned out to be. Mary gave birth to Jesus without sexual contact from a man. Jesus was both God and man. He had to be a sinless man so that He could be the sacrifice for the sinfulness of all mankind. Otherwise He would have His own sinfulness to deal with, just like the rest of us.

Some "prophecy." The virgin birth story came from Mithras (among others) long before Christ.

You need to elaborate on your query. This makes no connective sense, the way you have it written.

Check out the Aramaic word for virgin.

The bible was translated incorrectly (on purpose I'll bet) and virgin was put in instead of girl.
