Did the dog eat his poo? I had a dog that would eat his poo and my other dogs poo. He then would come in the house and throw up poo on my white carpet. Needless to say we replaced the carpet with tile floors,

Has he had all his vaccines? Puppies at his age can get parvovirus, which is an awful virus that kills about 50% of the pups it infects. It is especially worse in the southern states. With parvo, you will see a sudden change in your pup. They will start with vomiting and soon they will begin to have bloody diarrhea. The "smell" of parvo is one that you cant forget. Its a strong, almost sour smell, that comes from the strong amount of blood in the stool. These pups get dehydrated very very quickly, and eventually it is the dehydration that kills them. Even if it isnt parvo, he will most likely need fluids either IV or Sub Q (under the skin) to keep him hydrated if he isnt keeping fluids down. You can try pedialyte, but if he cant keep it down, then whats the point? These dogs will also run very high temperatures, so a rectal thermometer (even just a digital) can be important to check for fever. If you have one that you can spare, then a dogs temp should range between 101.5 and 102.5. If it is any higher than 102.5 then he has a fever and is very ill. You need to get him to a vet asap, in most cases for a pup his age he cant make it until monday. Dont try to feed him any solid foods, this will just upset his tummy more. It is more important right now to keep him hydrated than to keep him full. Good luck!

I don't think your choice of food agrees with his stomach. Change over to the most bland diet you can to see if indeed it is food related and not something more serious. Change his diet to plain bread and cooked rice.If its dietary you will know in about 2 days. Organic - They are all decedents of wolves - carnivores . Quit thinking like a human and go back to the basics . Iams is a quality food but that doesn't mean it's the right food for your dog. Once you find that food - stick with it. Changing the brand alot really messes with their digestion. Again they are not like us - we can eat Thai one night Mexican the next - no problem . They are carnivores and need meat and a bland diet.

Yes I would get him checked out ASAP! He could have parvo which is something a lot of puppies get at that age...my puppy was doing the same thing so that is why I suggest going to the vet soon because if it is parvo and it isn't treated, your dog will die..

The vet is the only one who can tell you and if he did get into something who knows what and could be poisonous. Also you need to watch for dehydration so VEt immediately

No way to tell over the internet, but either cause requires a trip to the vet. Go there now!

Take him to the vet immediately!! he is obviously very ill. Even if you dont know what caused it, you still need to stop it. Your dog could get dehydrated or even die if you dont.
