Ok, there is this girl I really liked and I asked her to homecoming. We had a football game, and it was VERY cold. We talked for a long time and we were with each other 99% of the time. When I started to walk she would lock her arm up with mine. What does this mean? Someone asked her if she liked me earlier and she said "I dont know." and smiled.

Here it is in plain English.....if she "hooked" arms, it tells a male she is comfortable with you, enjoys the physical contact and probably wants to find out more about you. You have the "signal" to proceed to another date, so what are you waiting for? By the way, you did well, communication is a HUGE thing for women, don't forget that, she wants to know what is going on, your feelings, and how interested you are in her.

Because I'm a girl, I know that when girls like guys it can mean a lot of different things. When she said "I dont know" she was probably giving you the hint. The obvious answer is that she is hitting on you. Yet, I see that most girls' behavior can be pretty strange when it comes to guys.

Come on you know the girl has a thing for you. Just her making physical contact with you should have given it away. She also did the little smile and "i dont know" which is another dead giveaway. Just don't get cocky about it and be nice to the girl.

I think she said "I don't know" because she doesn't know you well enough after one date. Meaning, she hasn't formed an opinion of just how much she likes you like on a scale of 1-10 because it's too soon.
Of course we all know she doesn't find you repulsive or else she wouldn't have gone out with you in the first place! : )

I think she's interested. When asked she was probably a bit embarassed to tell that person especially if she thought it might get back to you. And maybe she wants to get to know you better before she shares her feelings with anyone.

by the locking of your arms this is a sign of that she likes you.. but she is showing it with her actions not by words as she is telling someone else 'i don't know' gives it away that she's trying to keep it quite.. she is probably shy and doesn't know how to react!!

well, she likes you.. that's what i think..
Its very easy to say "no!" for her when she was asked if she really doesn't like you.
Yet maybe, she doesn't want to let you know yet so she said "i don't know" - meaning, there is something but she herself is still a bit confused about it.
i don't know is clearly not a denial... and it is not a confirmation, but leaning towards it..
