They leave nasty marks behind... argh!
Does normal repellent work? What if I already have sun block? Must I put apply it on top of that?

Bug Away Insect Repellent

Combine 2 cups of witch hazel, 1 1/2 teaspoons of citronella essence oil, 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a 16 ounce spray bottle. Shake well before using. This repellent requires no refrigeration, but you can keep it cool to benefit from the refreshing cooled spray.

This one is kind of complicate but it works

Insect Repellent Cream

1/4 cup of grape seed oil
1/4 cup of mineral oil
1 teaspoon of beeswax
1/4 cup of distilled water
5 drops of lemongrass essence oil
4 drops of citronella essence oil
18 drops of lavender essence oil
10 drops of rosemary essence oil
11 drops of eucalyptus essence oil
10 drops of pine needle essence oil
18 drops of cedar wood essence oil

Melt together the grape seed oil, coconut oil and beeswax.

While the wax is melting, heat the distilled water and the borax until the borax is dissolved (about one minute), and put it in a pint sized jar. After the oils and wax is melted, pour it in the jar with the water and stir to blend.

Add the essence oils and shake vigorously.
Let it sit for a minute and shake it again.
It will become a cream after a few minutes.
Apply as needed.
