Dog- much more loyal and affectionate, always elated to see you, and you can take them places, like the park, to play with them

Hi as a doggy mommy to 3 Alaskan Malamutes I know how attatched you can get to your pets. So I am so sorry you have to go through this. Ok I have to tell you to STOP giving fluids to your dog, it's not helping in fact it's downright dangerous. Next you MUST find a 24 hour emergency vet, I'm sorry this cannot wait. It sounds like severe shock has set in. I know you dog doesn't show any signs of injury but that is because dogs don't show pain. If you have children at home you MUST muzzle your dog for safety, even though your pet have never shown signs of aggression, an animal in pain will lash out. It will also help the vet later or the ASPCA if you cannot find a vet. Then wrap your dog loosely and gently in a warm blanket, either you or your partner must stay with your dog until you get help DO NOT LET YOUR DOG GO TO SLEEP under any circumstances, or she might not wake up. Also try not to show fear as your dog will pick up on it and will become frightened. Now doggy mommy go do the right thing and get your pet some help after 3 deep breaths. I'm pulling for you, keep me updated. If you can't get help in the next 20 minutes write another message and I will give you more emergency first aid help. Lou

Agree with the previous writer about dogs, however cats are easy maintenance and if you dote over them as kittens, they will also greet you at the door and follow you around the house begging for affection. If a person lives in a house with a yard and is home every day they should have a dog. If they live in an apartment or townhome or travel they should have a cat.

I dont know that is a toughie for me. I love them both so much. I guess i couldnt really choose so I will give reasons why i am both!!

Dog person- Fun, happy to see you, energetic, hyper, plays with toys

Cat person- can hold almost 100% of the time unlike dogs. They keep you compony. The poop is easier to clean up same with barf. They are always purring and also always happy to see you.

I guess i love both of them. Those are my reasons why. I hope you choose me as a best answer!!!!!

I love dogs, but will always be a cat person.

I think it's partly to do with which you were brought up with, and partly to do with what sort of person you are. Some people prefer the loyalty that dogs offer, but I personally appreciate the off-hand love of a cat. They're much cooler, and they smell yummy!

Cats. Dogs are too demanding of your time, and I could never successfully potty train a dog. I like cats' personalities better. Just something about them.

Personally, I love them both. Both are very loyal and loving. Dogs tend to have a longer attention/affection spand than cats do, but I love them both. Cats seem to be more cuddly than dogs, so I guess they both have their ups and downs.

dogs are nice i supposed, with all the loyalty and tail wagging stuff. But i kinda like cats more. though tend to scratch a lot and not really care how the heck you feel, they're very gentle (most of the time), and especially like it when they squirm around your ankle. Also they're not as noisy, and don't **** everywhere... haha
