This happened several years ago well 6 when my husband was married to his first wife. He was in the Navy, and our daughter was 9 months old. And his wife was extremly jealous taht he had a child with someone before her and said she would make sure that he wasn't around me or her again. He gets back from tour and his wife supposedly finds out she is pregnant with his child a week later.
Then the child is born 2 months early and weighed 9 pounds. Thats a big premie huh? Not to mention that during in labour, they broke her water.
Has anyone else heard of this, a woman going into labour that early and instead of stopping the labour they break her water and a 2 month early baby weighing nine pounds.
They divorced a few years later and we got married.

Anyway I think my husband got suckered into having to raise a child that isn't his. The worst part is he is stuck paying child support and hardly gets to see the child.

If a paternity test is ordered will it do anygood?

He should certainly demand a paternity test. Unless the mother was diabetic I doubt a premie would weigh 9lbs. If the paternity test shows he is not the father, and does not have a parental role or bond with this child he may stop the child support. Its worth it just to get at the truth.

Sounds like a load of b.s. to me. For one, it's EXTREMELY rare that you find out you're pregnant when you're only one week along. Secondly, unless she had some serious out of control gestational diabetes, a 9 lb preemie is pretty much out of the question. With an average weight gain of 1/2 lb a week in the last months, that means she would have had a 13 lb baby at full term.
If it's determined that he's not the father then he would no longer have to pay child support. that should eliminate any contact he has with this woman.

I don't blame you for being suspicious after the threats that were made and then a bouncing nine pound "preemie" being born...lol. Well the best way to know for sure is as you say, to do a paternity test. Then everyone knows and from that maintenance and access rights can be determined. Never forgetting of course, that it's the CHILD'S RIGHTS that must always come first. All the best to you.

If the paternity test is negative and proves that he is not the father, then he will no longer have to pay child support, but make sure that it's worth it. If the test is positive then it will cause bad feelings between this child's mother and father. Plus, is this what your husband wants? Maybe he loves this child anyway.

I am not going to comment on the lie, but a paternity test will do some good. If the child is his he can sue for visitation, if the child is not his he can not only file to have his name legally taken off the birth certificate, and legal obligation to this baby, but also recoup the monies he has paid for child support and/or insurance. Plus it will give you both peace of mind.

9lbs and two months early? This is not his child. Yes, he needs to get a paternity test and it will absolve him of any responsibility.

is he perpaired to never see this child again if she is proven not to be his real daughter?

Speaking for myself i know i would not want to know.... If this is a child that knows me as her parent, and me being hers i would assume not to know, he is the only father she knows.....

dont push him to do something he will regret. Or he will blame you.
