George Bush wanted to go to Iraq because Sadam tried to kill his father...end of story, that's the reason. Ok...we got him and executed him. They are still fighting, they don't want us there and they are dragging their heels on this democracy thing. This all boils down to a Holy war. They are desert people and their life is based on fighting. Does Georgie think he can change the course of time? I think he does. He thinks himself as a God. Iraq has been a war like country long before we decided to go and will be long after we are gone...if we ever leave. What is everyone's take on this. And no standing up for George and America. Heck, I work for the federal gvt and am proud to serve my country every day. Just some educated ans thought out answers please.
Thanks!!!

In my opinion, going into Iraq wasn't necessary. Saddam had a broken down military, and he personally was no real threat to us. He was isolated, and under control. He wasn't "capable" of going anywhere, or inflicting damages in a mass destruction manner.
It has become increasingly clear that our leaders, all of them, have FAILED in their planning. I "suspect" our "leaders" were highly over-confident. And that is where they failed.
You have two factions over there killing each other. The body count is not by American troops. It's a tribal thing. Because of this, I prefer our troops get out of the middle of something the two factions don't seem to want to end. We should not take sides in that civil war. Let THEM slug it out, and when it's over, if ever, try to work with, or protect ourselves from whomever is left standing.

The war planning that went into Iraq is much bigger and more complex than any one chromosomally-deficient knuckle-dragging illegitimate puppet President.
George W. Bush is little more than a useful-idiot, he's a tool, an instrument, a salesmen for the Military Industrial Complex.
These epic Shakespearean theories while compelling serve as a form of black propaganda, they're badly scripted necessary illusions and dangerous distractions designed to keep us Americans from discovering the real reasons behind why we wage war and fight.

Amazing! You asked a loaded question... correction, you make a loaded statement that is supposed to be a question and you get bent out of shape by people answers. You didn't want an answer! Be honest with yourself. Yes, Saddam tried to assassinate George the Elder and Bill Clinton should have gone to war over that one.
You also assume the everything that that you think about GB is true when there is no proof to support it and plenty of evidence to counter your claims.

I would give you an "educated, thought out answer", if you would respect me in kind with a similarly educated, thought out question. You lost me right at the begining with the premise that Bush started this war to avenge his father's attempted asassination. GET REAL. One thing I do believe though is that you work for The Fed's. That one makes total sense! Oh yeah, that's something I wouldn't go bragging about if I were you. Thank God I'm not. By the way I am THE ALL AMERICAN!!!!

The only question I see in your rant is, "Does George think he can change the course of time?"
The answer is no.
He is attempting to (keeping in the aquatic vien here) turn the tide and establish a new future for Iraq, thus ending the "wave" of continuing struggle.
g-day!

It amazes me that an employee of our government can be so ignorant of the world around them. You have demonstrated a total lack of understanding of Iraq, of the causes of the war in Iraq, of American politics and of international foreign policy decisions. I can only hope that you don't vote until you have educated yourself on some of these things. You are a disservice to your political beliefs.

Wow~dude! I didn't know you were on the inside of the Intel community! How on earth did you dig up such an original conspiracy theory?? What a score! What a find! What an IDIOT!
If you really want educated answers than ask an educated question (no standing up for George and America??) instead of loading it with your **opinion** and maybe you'll be taken seriously...........
Update: and you're just another Lib idiot!

All I needed to read, was that you work for the federal government. That means a couple of things to me. That means first of all, you do not produce a single penny to help this country. Outside of law enforcement, and the military, all federal employees are rejects of the private sector, for various reasons. The list starts here: laziness, lack of experience, lack of intelligence(person to ask this question), and lack of motivation to produce. Most federal employees are very liberal, and this is easy to understand, as conservatives actually have a natural desire to produce.
I realize that I did not address your question, oh but wait you didn't ask a question did you. you made a statement of ignorance.

If you want "educated ans thought out answers", ask educated and thought out questions. Your post makes it painfully obvious that you know nothing of the history of the region, nor of its people.
