Deep research shows Santa is the modern icon of the god, Odin. Also known is some ancient cultures as Oden, Ogdin, Wodan, etc.
Odin would go from rooftop to rooftop stealing souls, unless something was left for him to eat.
Why have such rites and beliefs become a part of so-called Christianity? Because centuries ago, church missionaries did not insist that their converts follow the Scriptural command: “Get out from among them, and separate yourselves . . . and quit touching the unclean thing.” (2 Corinthians 6:17) Instead of eliminating pagan practices, Christendom’s missionaries actually perpetuated these customs by modifying and using them. Such customs were then spread throughout the world.

Santa Claus exists: he is St Nicholas of Myra, a very charitable, generous and compassionate Greek Christian bishop who lived his mortal life around the early 4th century AD and now ministers in Heaven's union with God.
We reveal Santa Claus and His Master when we are loving, charitable, generous and compassionate.
Merry Christmas all year round!

Santa DOES exist; we see him all the time around Crhistmas. As for God (because I'm sure that't the underlying question), He also exists because you do have to explain to little Billy where daddy went when he died. So both Santa and God are for kids, though adults may sometimes (also) need to believe.

Here is the epitome of childishness.Instead of asking about my God, or whats 2+2, he wants to know if Christians can prove that there is a Santa.Son don't you need to take out the trash or something like that? Grow up please and get you a life. If you don't believe in God or Santa that's your choice, but please stop being so childish. You will be blessed if you do.

St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra in Lycia, died 6 December, 345 or 352. He is one of the most popular saints in the Church.
Some of the main points in his life as follows: He was born at Parara, a city of Lycia in Asia Minor; in his youth he made a pilgrimage to Egypt and Palestine; shortly after his return he became Bishop of Myra; cast into prison during the persecution of Diocletian, he was released after the accession of Constantine, and was present at the Council of Nicaea. In 1087 Italian merchants stole his body at Myra, bringing it to Bari in Italy.
