They were born in a box layed with a nice warm rug, and have been there since. The room is quite secluded and i keep mums food and litter box in this room too. but just tonight i noticed mum cat was moving her babies upstairs to my room in some drawers. Why would she do this after 2 weeks?

All cats have a very strong natural in-built instinct to move kittens. It is totally normal. It is a survival instinct as in the wild it is an effective way of dodging predators and parasites. After a couple of weeks a nest of kittens in the wild might have lots of flea eggs in it and might be smelly enough to attract hungry foxes etc. Just because your cat is safe indoors doesn't mean that this instinct disappears. Give her some nice options with various nests around the house for her to choose from and when she is in a nest change the bedding frequently. If she picks somewhere inappropriate then move the kittens to a safer place and block off the inappropriate area if she insists on trying to put them back there.

Is mum vaccinated, you're able to have left the bedding on my own changing it extremely is frightening mum attempt and locate something with mums scent on it mum for sure does not like the spare room you're able to desire to objective permit mum have her toddlers the place she feels they are secure, attempt and placed mum and toddlers back to the place mum delivered them she for sure felt secure there, in the event that they have runny eyes and snuffling and sneezing they actually could bypass to a vet and be checked over. If mum is vaccinated the kittens could have her immunity from cat flu, wish they are all ok. attempt to no longer circulate the kittens or the bedding too lots it quite is definately what's aggravating mum, she will have the means to no longer ideas you stroking her and the toddlers it quite is robust and it gets the kittens used to touch off others its shifting the bedding it quite is aggravating mum.

Let mom put her kittens where SHE feels they're safe.
You've obviously taken great care of her because she feels very comfortable and safe near you......and she'd never move her babies to your room if she didn't feel safe!

An afterthought.......please consider getting your mom cat spayed. There are way too many unwanted animals out there.

This is normal and instinctive behavior. She is hiding the kittens from predators, before they can get out.

If you are visiting her kittens many times throughout the day, she probably is moving them to feel safer and protect them.
