Hi - I've burnt a couple of saucepans and am disappointed that the stainless steel coating has worn of in patches on the inside ot the saucepan. The patches are darker in colour. Can this be recoated? Also, I'm concerned that the worn areas may be poisonous because the coating of stainless steel was needed to protect the food from metals etc.
Any ideas?

You can't restore the coating. You might be able to get it done professionally at a company of some sort. That would probably be very expensive though so it might be worth your while to invest in some nice new saucepans.
Remember to always spray them with non-stick cooking spray before cooking in them, as the non-stick coating does not always function properly.

Hi man,

you know if it is stainless, there is no coating
do you see 18-8 somewhere on it or inox ?

stainless is the coating itself :) (or steel)
