She keeps on gnawing at her belly. We looked for possible causes,ticks, etc and found nothing. I

could be stress or something you can't see there....get her to the vet and have it checked out.

Then it's time to take her to the vet surely? That's what you're supposed to do when something is wrong with your pet!

Fleas are the most common cause, and unless your kitten is being treated with some proper stuff from a vets she probably has them. Could also be mites, allergies, any other skin problems. Or it might be nothing - but you can't find out on here, you can only find out at a vets.

You will not always see fleas as they live in the carpets etc and not on the cat. They only jump on for a feed and then back off again. Make sure you have a strict pest control programme. If she keeps doing this and she pulls her hair out it can be treated with piriton, but you should seek veterinary advice before administering it.

Maybe dry skin. Ask a vet. My dog was doing the same thing and get this the vet told me to give my dog benadril. it helped. Sorry about the medicine spelling.

cats kind of gnaw at themselves and lick to clean themselves, my two did this all the time.
