The atmosphere...Especially at iftar time, you feel that warmness whether you fast or not. Also the pleasure of waiting for iftar with your family around the table and the prayer you make with them just before you eat. Not to mention delicious food! I always get up at sahur even when I don't fast, I just love eating lol

Ramadan has many good things. To name just a few;
people treat each other with more respect and love,
everybody smiles,
there is a heavenly atmosphere everywhere,
the minarets glow so beautifully at night,
families have dinner (iftar) and sahur together,
they cook/prepare all sorts of Turkish dishes and sweets,
the pride of doing something that you believe in,
hot pide, çörek (Turkish rolls), the smell of sesame seeds,
the sound of the cannon signaling sundown and time for iftar,
.......

Ãengelköy Fırını sells small pides all year long. (They are quickly sold out). Just come over here when you miss pide.

Ramadan is the only month in the year I can have breakfast in the name of 'Sahur' and have dinner in the name of 'Iftar' with my parents.
