That sounds funny, I don't know, but you know 'Brum', that car, I had a dream about that once, and it was facing me and it flashed its lights/eyes at me, n then I woke up scared screaming 'Mum!! ...Mum!! ...Mum!'. This was when I was about 5 years old. I never liked watching Brum after that lol

According to Dreamcrowd:

To see a toy in your dream, represents society's ideals. You may feel that you are unable to meet the expectations of others. Alternatively, toy refers to the desire to escape from daily responsibilities.

You were probably scared that someone or something would take you away from the things that you loved. Were your parents thinking about moving? Were your parents not getting along and you thought that life would change for you if they separated? OR were you afraid that growing up (like your big brother) would take you away from your toys and your comfort zone?

You may have seen a tv programme that frightened you when you were about that age. If you had watched it when you were ill and feverish it would account for you having recurring nightmares for a while.
