I have a belly piercing with just a small ring, and was wondering if will set-off the metal detector at the airport security when I go through it?

no its far to small- i have a fair few piercings and i've never set them off and I travel regularly !

Could be. I once had shoe buckles that kept beeping. If you go through and beep, just immediately tell them you have a piercing. Most likely they will use a hand-held metal detector to check.

Probably not, as the airport detectors, are not set to that degree of sensitivity.

Mine does sometimes and not others. I think it depends on what type of metal it is. They will have a female guard look at it if it does go off.

you might... but if ypu have nothing to hide then you should be fine... but if you dont want the embarrisment or have something lol you never know... then put type like the white type over it like 5 layers wont be detected then...x

probably not ... its best not to worry about them kinds of things because you'll just get paranoid ... i just went on holiday and the thing went off when i went there and didn't went i came back (and i was wearing the exact same outfit) they just search random people anyway these days .. so you don't really need to worry !!
