This depends on where you live, and if you are renting your place or buying it. If renting, you are at the mercy of your landlord. If you own your home--then, I would say that 3 or 4 is ample. NEVER have more kitties than you can care for properly, and make sure you have every one of them either spayed or neutered. REMEMBER--it costs a good deal of money (and takes a lot of time) to properly care for your pets.

It depends on your city's ordinances. The city clerk can tell you, or you can call your vet and ask, they'd most likely know.

Here in my city it's three. But we have five. Technically you'd need a kennel or breeder's license to have over the limit but nobody enforces it unless there's a smell or noise problem. Lots of people go over the limit by a few animals.

it depends on your city's code. In mine, a person is allowed only 3 pets, unless they are a beeder. there are heavy penalties if one is found violating this limit.

Where I live you can only have three pets. The Humane Society will not let people go further then that .

Any ammount as long as they can provide adequate care and space for all of them. Soon as they can't provide care, it's animal abuse.
