Don't tell him you hate him, and don't do the things babyguess suggests. That would be cruel. Just tell him you don't love him and so feel it is unfair to go on seeing him. Tell him you are not ready for an exclusive relationship and that you want your freedom. He will probably try to persuade you otherwise, but just be firm and stay calm. This will hurt him so don't say anything that will add to his pain. Then you will know you have acted honourably and you will have no reason to feel bad about it. Oh, and you must tell him in person, any other way is cowardly.

There is no need to be unkind. If the relationship is very one-sided, as it seems to be, just tell him what you are going to DO, not how you feel about him.
You could say something like:
- I realize that you would like for this relationship to grow, but that does not work for me.
- There's nothing wrong with you, but I need to go a different direction with my life.
- Rather than let you guess what's going on, I need to make changes in my life that do not include you.
Unless you want him hoping and trying to get back together with you, the issue cannot be about anything that he could change and you should not make any statements about your plans.

uh, why did you get into a relationship with someone you don't really like?. Just tell him 'the feeling is gone' or say 'I think I'm not really ready to be in a relationship yet'... or maybe say you're too young for him. Or say that 'hey, don't think that this thing is gonna last forever, I'm sorry.' and stuff like that. try to be creative.
Don't do anything evil like not answering his calls or completely ignoring him-- that will only make things worse. He might even think you're just ignoring him to make him feel jealous, y'know. Just tell him. Don't do things to make him hate you. Because it will definitely not work.

You need to talk to him alone, some place quiet and just tell him the truth,I`M sorry but hate,at your age ya shouldn`t hate that`s a little harsh ya think?if he`s your best friend he`ll be glad that his friend can be honest with him,just tell him the truth,theres no sense in dragging it out longer, that just makes it hurt more. good luck, hon

The first response is the all time classic. Be totally honest and upfront and tell him..
It's not you it's me..
If he doesn't "get it", stop being available to him.
I.E. Stop answering his phone calls, make plans to do stuff away from him.. Go out with your friends and not with him. Ignore him and he will eventually get the picture.

hey girl... u say he is ur boyfriend....... then how come u dont love him???? and he loves u so much..... u know that and u r lucky.... u have got someone loving u so much..... try to ask urself that why dont u love him... do u like some one else??? if so talk to him in very calm and quite way and tell him that u r in love with someone else... do not hurt him coz he may do something wrong..... be good for him and urself.... and try to love him ... coz we should marry a person who loves us and not the one whome we love..... good luck my dear.....
