my cousin is about 12 y o and he wants to go fishing with us, we are going pike fishing. do you think he can fish an 8 kilo pike if he weighs about 41 kilo ?

when i was nine i caught an 18 pounder i was on my own so if he is going with you he should have no problems take him with you and i hope you all catch good luck.

My 10 year old and 13 year old have cought lots of Pike in Minnasota. make sure you have a good rod/real and use good line and a steel leader.
MAKE SURE you have "Fish Glove" We use a filet glove. Pike are slimy and if you have a double fish hook lure and he is thrashing about. You can keep a good grip on the little dude.

Oh yeah! and the bigger the better.After catching one he will be hooked for life I know I was.They make good first runs so make sure to adjust his drag accordingly and tighten when necessary.Allot of attention needs to be paid to a young angler so try to let him fish first and catch the first and help him all you can.It will be a very rewarding experience for both of you! Whether or not he can catch one doesn't matter,it's the experience & opportunity that matters.
By all means,let him go & enjoy the day whether he catches anything or not.And to answer your question,I say yes,he can do it.
