Ask her if she has put on some weight?
Asking the reverse, by the way, is a terrible unforgivable mistake.

So you're looking for a way to secretly pry into a topic that the person hasn't brought up yet? Until they tell you directly, it's none of your business, really. You could try just bringing up the subject and see what happens, "You know a lot of our childhood friends have been having babies."

My guess is that if your sister is pregnant, she has her own reasons for not telling people yet. You'll probably be one of the first to know.

(How old is your sister? If she's not an adult, you should probably share your suspicions with your parents.)

Take note of their behavior. If they tire or get sleepy easily, if they keep wearing loose clothes that get bigger and bigger as the months go by, if they have a craving for certain food which they did not use to like, If they buy books on pregnancy and babies names etc, if they don't wear high heels anymore, if they have a new interest in baby things and clothes.

Offer to treat her to a massage at the spa. If she's pregnant, she'd probably turn your offer down. If she doesn't know that a pregnant woman can't have a massage, you'll know from the receptionist because she would definitely be asked.

Here's an ingenious way. invite them to a Japanese resturant and order wine, if they wont drink suggest they order suhsi, if they deny that, they probably are. But if they dont like sushi r they dont drink...this wont help. Watch to see if they are watching what they eat or casually touching their stomach and staring dreamily into space.

Sorry, you've got to ask! Or drop some hints.
