do you feel like you're in good shape? Can run, play a favorite sport, enjoy intimacy, without feeling short of breath, or dizzy?

242 is not unheard of for a football player, but they work hard to maintain their athletic ability.

If you have any concerns about your ratio of muscles to fat and whether or not you have excess fat, please consider to consult a medical healthcare provider or a nutritionist.

They'll be able to assess your body better than any person here online.

I wish you the best.

In general, a person who is 5' 8" should weigh no more than 158 pounds. 159 to 200 pounds is considered overweight and a moderate health risk.

At 242 pounds, you have a high health risk which means you are more likely to develop diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, sleep apnea and arthritis.

I think you need to change some of your eating habits and/or your level of physical activity. If you were an athlete in school but are no longer active and you still have the same eating habits you did in school, you are going to gain weight.

Weight is more than how you look. Weight is an indicator of your health. Chose to be healthy by getting regular exercise, eliminating junk food and eating more fruits, vegetables and lean meats.

getting fit is not an overnight project 1: you need to eat healthy to keep off the body fat 2: you need to do regular amounts of exercise 3: build up slow foundations it could take a long time to get fit 4: don't overdo it dieting or exercise eat a healthy balanced diet not a starve yourself to death one and don't break your back doing exercise a small walk everyday will do alot more than exhausting yourself to the point of quitting.
