one person called people to follow a "law" much like a force or gravity, or nature
the other called for mercy/grace if we just believe without actually doing anything else
one is easy and requires little effort or research, the other takes discipline and work, restraint and maturity
most christians take after the man who invented it, and do not show compassion but spread the same hate and division that "paul" did

He is stating about people in the body of Christ , not your next door neighbor! If an enemy assaults you and is not in the body of Christ, God says vengeance is mine (Romans 12: 17 - 20), God will take care of that enemy, so you should not get worked up over this person.
God is not going to save everyone, only those who obey and are obedient to him.
Read Mathews 7:21 again and see what people will not make it into the kingdom of heaven. There will be many pastors that have mega churches, that will not make it, because they profit in Jesus name. Remember Luke 18:9 about the religious leader and the tax collector, who was just in Jesus eyes, the tax collector, because he stated that he is a sinner. Also the thief on the cross.
You are justified by faith and not of your works.

I hope you are not doubting what the Scriptures says about salvation as a free gift from God, thru God's Grace.
Matt 7:21 was meant for those who uses the name of the Lord for their own profit. Many who profess to be Christians does not live Godly lives, and it's all a farce. But, we cannot condemn those Christians who are struggling to do their best and fails, for God sees the intent of the heart and He only knows who is truly His.
If you are a Christian, then you are already saved and became a part of God's family. If you sin you ask forgiveness as a son to his father and He is ready to forgive.
However, If you are a Christian and you choose to disobey God and continue to live in sinfulness, then you might fall away and forfeit your salvation.

I think you know the answer and are just trying to bring light to those who, in your words, "feel free to disobey Christ."
Of course, the truth is that there is no discrepancy. Paul speaks a great about obedience, too.
But I wonder what you are thinking when you refer to people's disobedience as "judging and condemning". Jesus and Paul certainly talked a great deal about the necessity for judging and condemning! We are to judge righteously! We are to stand against sin and not be afraid of speaking out against it!
god bless

Everything begins with loving God. How can we love a God we do not know? How can we know God except The Spirit reveal Him to us? How can The Spirit reveal God to us if we cannot tell the difference between The Holy and unholy spirits? Grace? Once you experience unconditional love, anything less just will not do.

to be saved mean you want to change within yourself, then when you turn to God ,he will save you, that is his grace. but when you turn towards him,you cant lie to yourself. it is only the hypocrites that lie to others about being holy and they are the ones Jesus talked about who will not enter into the king dom of heaven. yhose are the ones that believe they will go to heaven when they die. a real believer knows that the kingdom of heaven dont and wont come with great signs and wonders ,but is within himself just as Jesus said it..many hypocrites read around it and believe firmly in the pie in the sky

What if the God, the Lord you obey is Graceful?
He saved you by grace even if you "don't have any chance to obey", "didn't believes in doing good things", "didn't believe in Him"

I personally believe that the desire and ability to 'obey' His wishes is a Gift. How can the fear of God's wrath move anyone to love Him?
There is the so-called 'Golden Rule' which has no negatives. It is plainly a 'Thou Shalt' thing. - But then does anyone really know what makes them happy?
It is a Gift, simply stated.

Both actually. Without God's Grace (in Jesus Christ) there is nothing that man could ever do to gain his own salvation. BECAUSE OF God's Grace, WE OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS.
God be with you......

Wouldn't doing the "will of His Father" mean following the "Laws of Moses"? Wouldn't making this statement prove that Jesus didn't abolish the Laws of Moses? It sure sounds that way to me.
