There is a person on here who is very anti Catholic and I mean very anti Catholic, he is CJ, see profile below, he really annoys me with his answers, sometimes I feel like emailing him and explaining to him how wrong he is, but I know he won't listen

Could you please pray that he sees the errors of his way and realise that we are Christians and see us as God's children as well?

As Christians, we must pray for him. He is surrounded by evil. He needs prayer. Let the Lord deal with people like him. After all, he will be the one who will have to answer to God. -As for yourself, you shouldn't allow people to get you all worked up. The devil just wants to steal your joy. Read your Bible daily and arm yourself with God's everlasting WORD. -God Bless.

It isn't the easy going people who need the love. It is the sand paper person who rubs you the wrong way that needs the love, patience, and prayer.
Remember that Love conquers many multitudes. -Amen!

-Your sister In Christ

We need to pray that the anti-Catholic bigot will be given a greater share in the true faith. He is usually filled with much anger and hate. He can only measure his own religion in reference to that which he opposes. I would fathom to guess that were there no Catholic religion, he would have no faith at all-- or perhaps I should call it an anti-faith? He is quick to judge and to @#%$! Catholics even though there is no consideration that if he is wrong then he has blasphemed the work of the Holy Spirit
The anti-Catholic may also sin by presumption of God's saving grace. We live in the "sure and certain hope" of our salvation, leaving our eternal destiny to divine providence. The Lord says, "Therefore, by their fruits you will know them." While the fruits of Christ's presence and loving ministry are manifested in the life of the Church, the anti-Catholic critic contends that Jesus shall respond to us with the words from Matthew 7:23, "I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!" Many of our Protestant brethren, with whom we would differ on points of doctrine and manners of worship, work alongside us in the promotion of the Gospel of Life. However, the anti-Catholic bigot contends that these groups are contaminated by their association with Catholics and thus are also lost. What can we say to such a critic? If all he understands are isolated bible texts, then let him pay heed to this one: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them" (Matthew 7:15-16).
Every Catholic needs to remember the anti-Catholic and the fallen-away Catholic every time they receive holy communion. We need to dedicate our Holy Hours to prayer on their behalf and make reparation for their insults against Jesus, his Mother, and the Church. May our prayer rise like incense to heaven and be found pleasing to Almighty God

angel eyes there are many anti catholics on here, may we pray for all of them. the truth of the one true church will hopefully reach them all, if only in understanding and tolerance for their brothers and sisters in christ. if cj persists one may just ponder how christian he or she is, if atall christian because such actions are not those of a christian by any means. many claim the name of christianity but not all are christian. as a fellow catholic here are some sites i usually frequent and enjoy that you may like, i encourage others to check out the sites if only for understanding and tolerance reasons.

hope you enjoy and god bless, don't let it bother you to much and i ofcourse will respond to your prayer request.

cheir, the bible is a catholic book that comes from the catholic church, history attests to this. and michael m, that is not the way of us irish catholics, prayer is quite sufficient- i am sure some may be tempted to make this the irish catholic way and it was quite amusing but it just isn't. slainte

I pray for God's Will and the strength to endure it...all other things that I cannot deal with I pray that he takes care of it for me. And I also pray when I have a difficult time letting go of things I know I cannot control.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I have looked at some of CJ's anti-Roman answers. I must say I agree with many of his comments. This does not mean that he is saying you're not a Christian because I have met Roman believers who are Christians (mirabile dictu) but I believe that many of the behaviours of the Roman church are not supported by the Protestant Bible. My main objection is to the claim of Rome to papal supremacy based on Matthew16:18. Here Christ calls Peter by the name Rock on which Christ is apparently going to build his church. The Greek in this verse calls Peter 'Petros' but uses a slightly different word for the rock (petra) on which the church is to be built. Rome argues that 'Petros' is the masculine form of the feminine noun 'petra' and therefore means the same thing - Peter is that rock. However closer examination of all relevant texts in Syriac, Aramaic and Greek, showing the usage of these words, indicates that the correct understanding of this verse is : “You are 'Petros' (a movable stone) and upon this 'petra' (a large massive rock) I will build my church".
The Church of Rome bases itself on a misinterpretation of Scripture and a falsely reconstructed Aramaic/Syriac text, ignoring the distinctions in the Aramaic language. In addition how could Peter be the first Pope? He had a a wife (Matthew 8:14; ‘... when Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.

sweetie we irish catholics have a whole different way of helping "dear CJ" see the light. I will take him before Pope Benedict where he will prostrate himself and kiss the papal ring as he begs forgiveness for the many transgressions of his heretic ancestors. After that he goes to spain for thumbscrew therapy, and then we will teach him that green is glorious and orange is treacherous.

He is probably anti-what you are taught.
Catholic people are O.K. but they are being badly misled by their priestly hiearchy.
they are warned that if they do not believe what the priests tell them, they will burn forever in hellfire. a false teaching.
Ask your priest. what happens when hell no longer exists, as stated at;
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.

in my book, Hades is the Greek equivalent of Hell.
And anything that goes into a fire is destroyed.
They, the priests will not be abl;e to explain it and will tell you...Its all a mystery..
not a very satisfying answer.

Many other Christians dislike us because we are the legitimate church of Christ. Lies are spewed about us worshiping saints, misunderstandings about our practices which are firmly based on Scriptural reading are denounced, and our deeper understanding of Biblical text and of God is often looked down upon by evangelical types who have no order to their faith.

With that said, we should pray for them as you have suggested and quit bickering.
