Don't stress my husband and his brother do the same thing. They truly are just lazy and know that their mum will pick a better gift. My husbands mum has sent me flowers numerous times on his behalf, it annoyed me at first but he doesn't do it much anymore, not that he sends me flowers of his own accord anymore either lol

Girl if you want to put up with this sh*t right now while you are dating, can you imagine if you ever marry the guy. You need to let him know that it is important to you that he pick the gift out himself. When my hubby and I were dating, Valentines came and went and I wasn't about to put up with that, so I let him know how important Valentines day was to me, so after that he really came through and even now. Valentines Day is better than X-mas day in our home. Speak Up!

Don't we all always get a headache when it comes to THE occasion of thinking of what present to get for whoever.
Tell him that sometimes you would like him to get you presents pesonally. If he doesn't even try, then you can forget about him.

Tell him that next time he wants to buy you a gift, you and he should go shopping for it together, and see what he says. I would hate for my mother in law or my bf's mother to choose anything for me.

He probably believes his Mother will get you a present that you will appreciate or need, there are only so many bunches of flowers and earrings that you can give one person.

Perhaps, It's just not his thing.
I think it may be because he is worried you won't like what you get him. So instead of worrying he gets his mum to help him out.
