Thanks for the verse pugwashjw
This will put it into context.....The first 4 versus.

1 So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God's hands, but no man knows whether love or hate awaits him. 2 All share a common destiny—the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, [a] the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not.
As it is with the good man,
so with the sinner;
as it is with those who take oaths,
so with those who are afraid to take them.

3 This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of men, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead. 4 Anyone who is among the living has hope [b] —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!

The versus you quote are more about the "nauture of death" rather then what happens next.

Thanks

Good question, Kiwi. Only one person has been there, done that, and returned to tell his friends about the experience.

The precise time line remains obscure. What we know is that God will give his faithful friends a resurrected body, a new, fully healthy body designed for eternal life with him. As Jesus showed us after his resurrection, his new body was one that Mary Magdalene could cling to and doubting Thomas could probe for evidence of his crucifixion.

Some might wonder how God will accomplish all these things, and no one can answer with authority.

However, we do know that God made the heavens and the earth out of nothing, in a vast cosmic explosion of infinite power we call the Big Bang. He singled out a single planet of great beauty in which to create the most complex beings in the universe, made with the intelligence and freedom that characterizes God himself: mankind.

If God has already created all things, why can't he recreate a new heaven and a new earth for those who love him and endure to the end?

Cheers,
Bruce

When the physical body is discarded we enter the heaven or hell of our own making ,or according to our belief system until the time comes around when we wake up and out of the illusion of our own making and will eventually make our way back into incarnation once again to work out our destiny as souls. We all have a long series of lives behind us and are working out the divine cosmic plan as it is in the mind of God.

What if your god is the wrong one out of the thousands? What then? Then you've wasted your time worshiping the wrong one whereas I haven't and we're both going to the same place. As for our purpose, there's no real ultimate purpose to life. We do rot in the ground and feed the plants, but we're not sentient at that point. It's just over and you are not an entity anymore. Like before you were born. Remember that? That's what it's like.

The Holy Bible says that for a Christian to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, 2 Cor. 5:8, Gospel of John 14 chapter 1,2 and 3rd verses talk about where we are going if you are a Christian. Our bodies maybe left behind but our soul and spirit lives forever. The Bible is full of example of what Heaven will be like for a Christian, it also says a nonchristian will be with the devil in a place called hell. The Bibles that Jesus Christ, Gods only Son came to earth to die for our sins, he was beaten and crucified for me and you, died on a cross, and arose from the grave forever washing away our sins once forever, now all we have to do is accept his free gift of salvation, are you willing to admit that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, if you are you can become a child of Jesus Christ right now, just say this sinners prayer, and eternal life will be yours, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

This infortmation has been in the Bible all the time.
It is a failure of the religious leaders to point it out to people.

God created us all to die once. As a believer, when you die, your body is buried, but your spirit goes to heaven. When Jesus comes back for the Chruch, your body will be raised up as well. Very exciting.

If you are not a believer, you will be buried, body and spirit. When Jesus comes back and raises the dead for their judgment, then they go to the lake of fire for eternity. Very depressing.

Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Hbr 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

After I die my soul will return to whatever realm souls venture to rest after it leaves the earth plane, where I will commune w/ the holy spirit and all the other souls who have left earth.

P.S. no one actually dies, only the body gives out

If you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repented your sins and led a decent life you should get into Heaven. Otherwise, its an eternity of darkness for you.
