I am on AGR staus in the Alaska NG. I am an E-6 with 14 active years. I want to go back to the Navy to enhance my career and better my families lives. More chances to improve my education, and more things for my familiy to do.

if your unit is undermanned or tapped to deploy, the chances of you being released are slim to none.

Have you even approached the Navy to see if they will take you? at E6 you better be top notch and your current MOS better translate to an Undermanned rating.

If they've specifically told you that they won't let you, the easiest way would be to call up your senators or representative. That would royally piss off your command, but then they would at the very least have to explain why they won't let you switch to active duty during wartime.
