Scenario: A patient comes to you and complains of severe diarreah, abdomenal pains, and a fever. Diagnosis is gastroenteritis. Patiend stands up and faints. What range would you expect his blood pressure to be as soon as he faints? 54/23? Heart rate?

Generally, the blood pressure of a person who has fainted is low. 54/23 is too low to keep standing, or even conscious. The heart rate in a situation like that would probably be pretty fast.

Your paitient is no doubt dehydrated to and extreme degree. I recommend IV fluids while you are working up the cause of the gastroenteritis.

it would be different for everybody. 54/23 is really low though
