i started college and my parents are paying for tuition and my new car. i dont know how to cook. I do help around the house. I do like to keep outdated things (clothes, stuff) I never throw them away. I work twice a week to pay for my books, gasoline, parking permit, and more and some pocket money. im mature and I study a lot on my own. my parents buy me any book that I ask for. I never ask to buy anything else such as music, clothes, jewlery or whatever just books. I appreciate their hard work and I try to work hard also. we are however somewhat of an upper middle class family?
So am I spoiled?

Somewhat priveledged but thats what your parents worked all their lives for, to be able to do this for you. The mere fact that you do what you can to pitch in and support your every day needs, and even ask this question, show's you're not a spoiled brat. Sound like an All American girl to me. i vote no.

no..why would you be spoiled?? i think spoiled person is someone who's used to get everything he wants but this doesn't necessary means money and stuff....a lots of kids are spoiled Cause the parents let them do everything they want and this can be a behavior of each family independent of the economical situation...

From the way you have described yourself, I would be inclined to say 'not at all'. You seem like a responsible person who has the love and support of a great family and knows its value. I wish you well : )

No, you arent spoiled!
All parents want to help when their child is at college. If your parents felt you were taking them for granted, or doing too much for you then they woul tell you

no you aren't. I'm in your situation too..I've asked my friends the same question and said that i'm not spoiled. They've known me for 3 years and have been frank to me so, no, you aren't spoiled.

No, they're supporting your education. If your car is your source of transportation to get you to school and work, then hey, let them pay for it.

You may be....In a different form. I feel you sense an emptiness, a query, somewhere. Perhaps not.

You need to search the path for your soul....Pray.
