This has been an endless question. But anyway, you will never get the answer from any philosophical or theological discussion. Why? Because God wants people to search for Him , not to study Him. "You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart." For God says "I will let myself be found by you and I will gather you from among all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you and bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile." (Jer. 29:13-14). Unless you search for God personally, you won't find Him by just asking questions. However, it's a good start but God reveals Himself in different ways: maybe thru sickness, disasters, or during the darkest moment of your life. I found God personally during the darkest moment of my life, when I had thought I would die as early as 25 years old because of asthma, heart disease and weak lungs. I even blamed Him before eventhough I didn't know Him. Yet when I surrendered to God, whom i didn't know before personally, He healed all my sickness, and I found peace in my heart, soul and mind. It was such a wonderful experience. God is real and alive. He's not an idea nor a distant Judge who will always ready to condemn you whenever you sin. He is a loving Father and Savior of my soul. I just found Him suddenly during those dark days thru repentance, prayer from the heart and surrender. Hope this will help you. God bless.

God is an idea. But do ideas exist, such as the idea of a wristwatch or the idea of a basilisk? Answer that first.
Basically, God is a label or a sign pointing to something which may or may not exist. Religions are in the business of worshipping these labels, without really analyzing if they represent anything real. For example, it's pretty certain that Jesus wasn't nailed to the cross, but that doesn't prevent every Christian church to prominently display it otherwise. It's just one example of how people worship symbols.

The greatest gift that God gave us is the ability to make our own rational decisions. God must come into your life in your own way. Great minds like Bonhoeffer and Kierkegard have debated this. The bottom line is that our faith is the strongest, when it is when we recognize that we have a choice whether or not to believe. The universe is so vast and uncharted, it would be a shame if was all just one big coincidence.
It is in the darkest corners of despair and doubt that God's light will shine the brightest.

Whether god or gods exist and what he (or they) are like is something each person has to figure out for himself.

Why are you asking people, ask God!
The bible says that God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Try seeking God, God exist.
Pray and God to lead your life and do not take advice from people who do not even pray or read the bible.
The bible says if the blind lead the blind they will both fall in a ditch.

According to the Bible God is Life, Does life Exist? can you see it ?,.touch it?..can you acknowledge the existance of Life or God by any of your five senses?. If you see something that is alive, living and breathing,. you say its alive,. if the same person or whatever is not breathing or walking around...you say they are dead. We are the consequence of God,. the spark within Us that gives our bodies life is God,. all things Material and Spiritual is God,.in a nutshell God is all there is.,..in all his different and infinite Forms. Life is Therefore God is,.. Alpha and Omega,..the first and the last.,. I hope this helps.

God does exist and to prove that He does look all around you. Look at the earth in general, the mountains and so forth, all of these things were created by Him and because of Him. Nothing else and no one else can do it.
