Often times I will find myself talking to myself about things out loud. Most of the time it's problems I have to deal with that day. This has been increasing more and more as the months have gone on for the past year. I live alone, but am out socially every night. Should I be worried? What could this mean?

Try watching "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" on FX Thursdays at 10pm, you are guaranteed not to talk to yourself for 30 minutes because you will be laughing to hard. or walk around in traffic, your call.

Well it might not be a great sign. Everyone talks to themselves...just not out loud. I agree...maybe you need a pet. Do you do it only when by yourself or when you're around other people? If it's around others...be prepared to get a few odd looks now and again.

No its not un normal, that is your way of handleing or promblem solving. Is there more stress in your life? That can cause this to increase. If this is bothering you, try taking notes at when this happens and how you are feeling. Try and find a pattern and then work on that.

What is wrong with that? Obviously you have a lot on your mind and hearing yourself say it helps you organize your priorities. Don't you find that having a friend helps? Well we can't have a friend around all the time, and we should be our own best friend anyway! I do it all the time.

Oh for crying out loud! You are merely rehearsing how you would play something out. Because, you are aware of it, it means you are just fine.

Get over it and talk to yourself all you want to when you are alone.

It is alright to speak to oneself to enlighten or solve a problem. Just be sure not to hold a long conversation with yourself for too long esp. with those who have eavesdropping ears as they will obviously not understand you. Do what is best for you.
