I can understand british accent just fine, there are a few words here and there i might not know, but i can figure out what they mean from the rest of the sentence. I find the accent rather amusing, much like I find a southern, or texan accent amusing.

Yes, Americans can generally understand British accents, some of the British slang may throw us off a bit though - LOL.

There is nothing sexier than a woman with a British accent! Makes me melt every time!

The (?) British accent? There are dozens of British accents, there are several associated with Greater London alone. Most Americans have no trouble with the BBC accent, RP is a bit dicier, and the dialect of Yorkshire might as well be an entirely different language.

Yes, most American's understand the accents. Sometimes it's just the different words that we both use that cause some confusion on meanings of some things.

Yes, the British accent is generally easy to understand. Some of the regional accents (especially rural areas) can be hard to understand, even for ppl in the UK.

I'm pretty good with all accents, although there was once a man I met from Northern England and I was unable to understand a thing he said...
And there was one Scottish woman who a few words I wasnt able to make out as well.
Those are the only two I have ever ran into with that problem...

It depends on the person. Some northern accents are hard to understand, they pronounce the words in an old fashioned way (more like middle english than modern english).

Yes. Otherwise british movies, like Harry Potter, wouldn't be popular in the USA.

=) Most of us love British Accents. Wish I had one myself, actually.
