Selena was called the Mexican Madonna , loved by both Americans and Mexicans alike , she was an icon and I believe a diva of her time . However this is the last person Mexicans and Americans both loved . Blacks for example have musical talent , Americans got over the racial and hatred barrier because of this . I believe Mexican's need another Selena one they and the American people can love together and its only then { when a Mexican makes it big again } can the " border " issue be solved and I believe people would look at this situation totally different . Anyone agree ?
Side Note - Alberto Gonzales is not a good example that Mexicans and Americans like together , George Lopez is not as well however he is a man I enjoy yet he has not yet broken any barriers in terms of culture and Shakira is not Mexican she is Colombian pop star .

I don't think that would solve the real issues of border security. I enjoy Spanish and Tejano music, as Spanish is a beautiful romantic language. I like nice looking hispanic men too. But that doesn't change the problems of the drain on healthcare, education, social services, etc. George Lopez does not like white people either, he has made many inappropriate jokes about them on TV, such as calling them pendejos and other such.

Hola. What are you talking about. Canadians have always needed a visa to enter Mexico. If you are already in Mexico you should have your FM tourist Visa to exit, or at least your FM2 or FM3 depending on the reason you came to Mexico. Nothing has changed.

On a serious note though Bush and his counterpart from Mexico really need to sit down at the table and work out a solution.
~Why is Mexico not trying to improve it's own lot?? Instead of shouting at the US for letting them in legally.
~Why not build a country your people want to live and work in rather, rather than feel they must walk to the nearest country, is it that bad in Mexico?
Maybe the president of Mexico should get his own house in order before he starts criticizing the States on the state of ours.

It is adherence and respect for the law that will bring mexico and America together. Your theory is incorrect in this way. John Lennon was adored by Americans for his role in the group the Beatles but John Lennon was hounded by immigration authorities, and fought for many many years to retain residency in America.
Americans are not as fickle as you think we are, we wish the best for our country and we see that illegals have little to no respect for our laws or customs and it is this that is keeping mexico and America from becoming what you think they should be.

Even when Selena was alive... btw I liked her too....we still had illegal immigration issues. I don't think another Selena would solve border issues

Kinda irrelevant no? We already have Mexico's stars played on our radio, on our tv ect. There is such a market for Hispanic (Mexican) entertainment that it no longer needs to cross over or go mainstream anymore. I understand where you come from though.
