I remember seeing one in the pet store and it was sooo pretty, but I can't remember the name of the breed...it was white and had really silky long fur and maybe really light brownish-orange stripes on its face and really light bluish-grey eyes....does this sound familiar to anyone?

It sounds to me that it could be a flame point siamese, possibly a burmese although burmese are not typically long haired, or it could alse be an oriental long hair, my cat is that.

Hard to say without a picture. Have you thought of asking the pet store? Try the Cat Fanciers Association website for recognized breeds as a place to start: http://cfa.org/
If you don't find anything, try the The International Cat Association website: http://www.tica.org/html/english/home/
Also, you might check the show calendar on those websites for shows in your area. If nothing else you will be surrounded by beautiful cats and maybe see one like the one in the pet store. Good luck
