I liked the beautiful yellow flower better. The shading on it was cool. And the color is what amazed me. It's just a flower but so colorful!
The black and white one was great to but I think it needs a little more contrast. Maybe you can photo-shop it? But I like the position of the camera and how you look up to the flowers.
Great pictures :]

well, its a very individual thing, but I like the second picture. using black and white to photograph a flower is a less common choice, and that and the angle creates almost a threatening mood. Kind of a "invasion of the flowers from mars" kind of feel. The first picture is more traditional. Although pretty, there isn't anything really different about it.

They are both very different, the B&W one is more interesting, but the colour one is more vibrant, making the flower stand out more.

even thought the 2nd one is a terible example of black and white i prefer it to the colour shot just for the view point,
the 1st shot is like 99% of all the other shots in the world of that flower, the 2nd shot has a point of differnce - the view point

i like the 1st one better. it's alot more vibrant, and very detailed. also the picture is focused on the sunflower (the subject) itself, making it stand out more.
