i hooked up with this guy twice and it turns out he had a gf and had lied to me. i ended things immediately and asked him why he cheated on his gf with me if he really likes her and he said "b/c i really wanted to hook up with you soo bad"
when i say hook up i mean make out intensely by the way,
so what exactly does that mean?

Basically, it means he wants to do you more than he wants to be with his girlfriend. Of course, it could also mean that he knows even if he gets caught that his girlfriend (eventually) will take him back. Either way, the relationship is not as important to him as the physical gratification.
Or, as another put it well, he's a dog.

The universal answer is.........YES! Under the right circumstance nearly all men will play around. If he only has GF and not wife then the chances double. Many of us have the ability to totally separate sex and love. That's the way it is, that's the way it has always been.
If you are married, have a family, etc., then things might be different. For all you live-ins, guess what!! Most men do not consider shacking up a committed relationship, no matter what they say to the girl.

Cheating does not really have anything to do with sex or liking someone. He needs help with something he has happened in his life. The problem was not resolved and results in this behavior. The sex is just a benefit that clouds the picture further. Counselling would be one way for him to work thru the problem. If he does not get help you really don't need to be involved with this guy. It means he used you and he has no respect for you. Hook up , means he wanted to have sex with you and dump you. Young kids these days abuse sex and take it very lightly, so how are you to know if a guy respects you or not? You don't because he never has a chance to respect you if you don't respect yourself. Young kids are having intimate relationships way too soon and are definitely confused about true love.

It means that he's a complete and total a** and you should be glad that you're rid of him. Hopefully his girlfriend knows what a jerk he is, but if not, she'll find out eventually. Just be glad that you found out when you did and thank god you don't have to be around him.
