Why my protestant friend thinks the gay people are evil spirits, where the hell she came out that idea,?
they have an evil spirit.. with good prayers in the church.. he or she could be straight!.. is that how the christians think you can cure the gay people? and according to them accepting jesus christ you will change your life? what an idea? if jesus christ changes your life.. why didnt change the life of the poor people and make them rich? I live in Latin America.. and many protestants come from low classes why didnt become richer if they choose to be protestant? how a gay person can be cure. if according to the science .. the homosexuality is not a choice or something you can change

Because a book written thosands of years ago claims that all "men who lay with men as they would a woman" should be stoned to death. As should people who disrespect their parents, or work on sunday. It also says that you are allowed to beat your slaves as they are your property, that you should rape the women of every town you pillage and kill all their babies before they can grow up to be "evil" themselves.

It's not just Protestants who have people within their organizations that simply just don't have all the facts.

I was raised Catholic. I remember meeting Catholics who were adimant homophobic people, while others (like my parents) who were tolerant because they are educated and understand that it isn't a choice. (That doesn't necessarily mean they feel that gay sex is morally justified).

I am a Latter-day Saint (Mormon). The same occurs in my church. There are those of the older generation (and a few ignorant young folks) who think homosexuality is a choice, so a gay person must be as evil as a murderer or a liar simply due to identity and there are tolerant educated ones like myself who know that gay people have no say in the matter of who or what they are attracted to. Though I know homoerotic feelings are natural and amoral, acting upon such feelings is wrong (in my oppinion).

Just hang in there, the world will come around eventually as science progresses.

Homosexuality is a bit like left-handedness.
It a preference you have and you're comfortable with.
Up until about 70 years ago in Oz teachers used to try their best to make left-handed children write with their right-hands.
Notice I said 'right' hands.

Back to Homosexuality - I understand why Xians are so adamant that homosexuality is a choice (even though they nor me can remember making that choice) it's cos if it isn't a choice the only other answer is that 'god' made them that way and that just can't be true cos 'god' doesn't make mistakes.
Every person who is physically or mentally challenged is so by choice.

Well if she is part of one protester groups I know the implication is more to do with them self selfishness and with the name of god resolve your own sins while looking as an angel
If there not part of those groups lets talk a bit about homos
I always find it strange as homos can be a process of actual evolution,but not a genetically one,we all know the world insane
and our mind has a lot of power,and some genetical memory is possible,Man being the most insensible being in the universe and woman whit almost no space in history,Its NO Wonder,call it healing a civilization
Also some might think its a spiritual thing to but I'm not going to that
But gay marriage and all that f***ing thing to me seems just a waste of time and should never be encouraged and its freaky too!

I am a Christian, and we are NOT ALL the way you depict us.
Please try to understand that not everyone is the same. People are different. Not ALL Christians want to "cure" gay people.

If you want to make more money, get a better education, find a different job, CHOOSE to have a better outlook, and find a way to make a change. You can do it.

Science changes daily, that is an old excuse. As for them being evil spirits-I have not heard that. I do believe if they act on their so called feelings it is a sin though. Peace

There is no science proving what you claim. Homosexuality is a sin and it will send the individual to hell if they dont turn from there ways.
