We've got a raccon problem and my stepfather is using a crappy pellet gun to suppodedly scare them away. Well it's not working and i'm thinking about buying a 22 rifle. I don't have any felonies and i'm 26 years old so there shouldn't be a problem for to purchase a rifle. I'm just curious if I have to wait to get the gun or if I can purchase the rilfe and get it the same day I purchased it.

Go to the gunshop, pick out the gun, fill out the federal form 4473, then they run an instant background check on you over the phone, if it clears, you pay for the merchandise, and walk out with your gun.

You'll walk out the same day with the gun. All you have to do is fill out the paper work and wait a few minutes for a background check. Usually 30min or less!!

You can take the gun or guns with you as long as you fill out the forms correctly and pass the background check, you pay for your guns and walk out with them. Happy hunting/shooting!!
