don't under estimate the power of a relaxer. chemical relaxers, is like any other chemical. it reacts differently on everyone.

but, just by chance, whom ever did the relaxer. did they tell you not to wash it for a 2-3 days? normal suggestiong by stylists, as it gives the bonds inside the hair to permanently set to their new form. disturbing them too soon, will reset the bonds back to their natural state, and you will lose the straightening. read on...

the average person loses about 80 strands aday. if you are not brushing that hair well enough every single day (due to not washing it yet). it WILL seem like you are having a hair fallout. you will find it everywhere. and yes, just running your hand through it will make you feel like you are going bald.

a nice bristle brush is good for this. not a vent brush or other. make sure you brush your hair before washing. brush 50 to 100 strokes. i'm serious. you will see the difference.

as for cancer? i do not see it being cancer.

however, DIET can play a huge factor in how your hair is. hair will always be the first tattle tail, when something has changed in or on your body.

if you don't like milk. take calcium tablets.

something tells me that your hair will be just fine. but dn't forget to brush, just rid of the shedding. that is all it is, and nothing to worry about.

kindest regards,
~~mafi

1] IT IS NOT CANCER! Cancer does not cause hair loss - the chemo for many cancers causes the hair loss.
2] every day, you need AT LEAST:
2 servings of lean protein a day [ red, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts ]
3 servings of low fat dairy [ milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream ]
3 servings of wholegrain bread/cereal/rice/pasta
3 servings of veg
2 servings of fruit
3] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
4] take a quality multivitamin with minerals every day
5] use shampoo, conditioner for RELAXED hair
6] use a deep conditioner once or twice a week til hair improves [ Pantene, Neutrogena, L'oreal, etc. ]
7] massage scalp before shampooing, and comb out tangles
8] after, blot hair dry - do NOT rub - wet hair is fragile
9] comb out tangles from wet hair - no brushing while hair is wet - it will split and break off
10] avoid tight ponytails, and use barettes, scrunchis, and clips to hold hair instead of elastics
11] get some exercise every day to improve circulation, including to your scalp
12] avoid dryers, curlers, rollers, as much as possible

not sure why you are loosing hair but it wont be related to cancer. The reason a lot of people with cancer loose their hair is because of the chemo therapy. if you are worried see your doctor.

1. Drink some milk just to please your mother.
2. The relaxer could have caused this problem. Those products are might strong.
3. You do not have cancer.
