at random times, such as now, the left side of my chest has a dull pain.

i have been working harder than usual in gym and at home..

im 13 and in pretty damn good health.
should i be worried?

even just walking to the bus stop, my chest will start hurting.

its a pretty isolated sharp pain.. right around the top of my breast region..

OK, to erase your worry, it's best to check it out with your doctor because chest pain isn't a light matter you can brush off.......

As far as exercise is concerned, if you've chest pain, then it could be:

1. You don't do a proper warm-up. Always do warm-up exercise for 3-5 mins, like marching in place or any other activities that'll get your body to warm-up

2. You exercise beyond your target heart rate zone, hence over-stress your heart

See here to determine your target heart rate: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/target-heart-rates.html

3. You don't do a proper cool-down exercise. Always do a 3-5 mins cool-down exercise like walking/marching lightly, until your heart rate goes back to normal level

Try this out and see how it goes. But first, seek your doctor's advice to rule out any medical condition.

Anytime you have chest pain, you need to go to a doctor and get checked out. It may be nothing but just in case, it's better to be sure. If your doctor sluffs it off, go to another doctor until you find out exactly why you are having chest pains. Go very soon. Tell your parents right away and insist on going to a very good doctor. Start keeping a diary of when you have the pain, what type of pain, when and what you were doing. I had chest pains when I laid down-no exercise-so I went and got checked out. It was nothing but I felt better just to know I had been checked out. Lots of luck.

This could, as some have suggested be a problem of trapped wind it could also be a strained muscle. I can only say this if you had aproblem with your car surely you would not guess or ask novices you would take it along to the garage . So why don't you get along to your GP who is the only one qualified to diagnose what may be a minor problem or a serious problem get that visit made not only to stop you worrying but to treat whatever is the problem. best of luck
