I want to invent a waterless automated carwash so the earth can conserve it's precious water resource. Can I trust those 800 Invent agencies that advertise on TV all the time? I already have an unrefined mini design in my garage that works.

I truly admire your talent my good friend, and such noble idea, very advanced and Earth friendly, my hat off to you.
Now do a little research before making any commitment, remember you may be sitting on a gold mine! So keep your eyes open. A good friend of mine who is a PHD in Mechanical Engineering, is also a patent Attorney. But i believe he only does big Corps. stuff. He is very honest because, he loves this stuff, and he ain't all about $$$$.
I will ask him about this, if you like send me a message, let's say next Tuesday, and i let you know what he suggested.

Good Luck and Best Regards.

You may also undertake to make sure that you are dealing with reliable people by asking your own patent attorney or agent or by asking others who may know them....

... In nearly all states there are state planning and development agencies or departments of commerce and industry which seek new product and new process ideas to assist manufacturers and communities in the state. If you do not know the names or addresses of your state organizations you can obtain this information by writing to the governor of your state. ...

...In your own or neighboring communities you may inquire of such organizations as chambers of commerce and banks. Many communities have locally financed industrial development organizations, that can help you locate manufacturers and individuals who might be interested in promoting your idea. ...
