There is a fascinating book I read on this but I simply can't recall the title. It was very detailed in the science of Qi and it is written by a Chinese doctor of some sort.

If you haven't had the opportunity to try this, I would certainly recommend it as its on my list of things to do as well.

Hello;

I assume you have an understanding of Qi if you use those terms.

Qi literally means "air", "breath".

Cultivating Qi is done through the method you learn, more specifically, the exercises or movements of the method.

The mind is used during inhalation to move the Qi through your Governing vessel over your head, down the spine and under through the Perineum into the Dan Tien, your foundation for the Qi you cultivate. From the Dan tien you move it up your Conception Vessel as you exhale to begin the cycle again.

This is called circular breathing. There are 3 Dan Tien: below your navel, at your sternum and on the top of your head. You emphasize each one as you move the breath along them.

To ground your Qi: it is done also by using your mind and breath to move your now cultivated Qi to where ever you desire. This is how people use Qi to heal specific ailments or energize specific organs.

To ground your body during Qi practice you must move your Qi to the Kidney point on the bottom of your feet. At some point you might feel heat under your feet. It is called burning or boiling and is an indication that you are doing the exercize correctly.

I hope this helps.
