Do you think you can prove that the tooth fairy does not exist?
Maybe The point will come to the surface that YOU CAN NOT PROOVE A NEGATIVE FACT. If you go to a gambling table prepared to prove the tooth fairy does not exist. You will come home BROKE.
Not that you could prove the existence of same either.
I hope I did not offend any of you non believers in the tooth fairy.

I guess that I will keep any debate I may have for subjects like God or no God to blogs where people think first with their head then with there heart. To think first with your heart will generate an emotional response. When the question was clearly wanting a response from the head first.

It is a very old philosophical dispute to say that to bet on a negative fact is a fools errand. This thought is applied to the concept of Atheism as an Atheist is one who denies the existence of God.

Where there are truly very few Atheist, As most that would call themselves by this name are not truly concerned with the proof of the negative as a true atheist would be.
They do concern them selves with the denial of the knowledge of the existence of God. But this concept is called by a different name. The name that should be used by most that have been calling themselves Atheist is truly an Agnostic.
An Agnostic is in denial of the knowledge of the existence of any God. This is truly what most wish to say. My belief on the other hand is one that has caused people to laugh at me because I truly am on the outside as I am a non associated Christian monotheist. That says I believe in One God, and I believe in Christ as a man and I am all by myself in my belief. Now you can laugh at me if it will make you feel better.
I am quite familiar with that as I have been fast in my ways for 37 years.

the smart atheists only say that you can't prove the existence of a god; therefore, there is no reason to believe one exists. they don't claim to prove a negative.

but, there are dumb atheists just like there are dumb theists, and THAT can be proven.

The teeth fairy would theoretically exist, however what we all know approximately her could be disproven. For, the proof that kids have for the teeth fairy are the lies instructed to them from their dad and mom, which can be motives for the removing of the enamel and the depositing of the quarters. However, we all know that the exact motive of those quarters is the dad and mom. Therefore, at the same time we have now now not disproven the life of the teeth fairy, we have now disproven the proof we needed to consider the life of the teeth fairy. Lacking any proof to the opposite, we expect the teeth fairy does now not exist, for that is the less difficult idea and we consequently use Ockhams Razor That being mentioned, you are not able to turn out god does not exist, however you would disprove the proof used to mention that he does exist. However, it's but to be proven that the non-life of a deity is much less complicated of a idea than the life of a deity, on account that of the dilemma handling "First Cause." Thus, we're pressured to attract a end of "might be" and grow to be agnostics. At least I am. That being mentioned, I'm now not satisfied that the entire proof that god exists has been disproven, nor am I satisfied that the proof that god does now not exist has been disproven. I am, nevertheless, satisfied that there exists proof that god isn't as distinctive detailed religions say, nay, PROOF that god isn't as distinctive detailed religions say, and that we will be able to extrapolate that those detailed religions are correctly flawed. However, this is a logical falacy to attract the realization that there's NOTHING proper approximately those religions (as in, there is not any god). But, like I mentioned, barring Ockham's Razor, it is usually a logical falacy to finish the teeth fairy does not exist. It's a "jump of religion" similar to whatever else: a few are simply extra useful than others.

The tooth fairy may exist for little boys and girls who have been misled by foolish people.

When you grow up you put away childish things.

Your reasoning is faulty being childish.

The existence of God makes the tooth fairy impossible. They are mutually exclusive.

When God reveals Himself to you that completely disproves the tooth fairy.

I should have thought that was obvious.

Perhaps not to childish mind games. It is a common fault and mistake. That God has not revealed Himself to someone often leads them to erroneously assume that He does not exist.

What a simple mistake to make. Almost invariably one made by Atheists who likewise assume that they have superior minds, no doubt because it is a mind game they are playing.

That game is shattered by revelation from God.

Your mind is ruled by your heart. You cannot think first with your head. If the heart is sinful then the mind will serve that end.

Again that should be obvious.

Why are you so blind?

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

If you are in darkness and God is not in your little room of darkness please don't assume that everybody else must be in darkness too. To any who confront you with the truth, you have no answer and the mind is closed, because the heart refuses.

A good dose of humility could do you the world of good.

You can never by your mind alone find out God. The maximum the mind can do is come to the logical conclusion that God exists. As said before a sinful heart will rule the mind and cause it to refuse the evidence.

God can only be known by revelation. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

You speak as one without knowledge and thereby show your emptiness and lack of understanding. You are merely playing a mind game with yourself.

To one who knows God it is very sad indeed to see that. How can such a closed mind be opened?

Perhaps when the heart is caused to fear, when conviction of sin, of your sin against God takes hold, when the reality of the punishment for sin - which is what you are running away from - unseats the complacency of pride.

Isn't that the way any must come? Such is the hardness of our hearts.

May God break you of your darkened counsel and words lacking knowledge.

Sadly suffering may prove the greatest blessing.

Put a tooth under your pillow and put a recorder somewhere in the room so that you can record yourself sleeping and see what happens over night. Keep repeating every night (if necessary)until you see a tooth fairy... or your parents. XD

you can prove a negative fact. you do this by using logic, you must have never taken an ethics class. also you stating that believing in the tooth fairy is just as plausible as believing in god. you prove a negative fact by proving that the positive is false.

circumstantial evidence may not be the best but a preponderance of it is sufficient in most courts especially civil courts . And that is a higher level than a bar room bet .
the jury has reached a verdict but the judge says no way.

Sorry honey, I AM the tooth fairy at my house. And I DO exist. So I guess your theory is a little flawed.

Got your money... proof the tooth fairy does not exist? Ask parents who put their child's money under the pillow. I hope you weren't betting a lot on this one... next

"YOU CAN NOT PROOVE A NEGATIVE FACT."

Prove it. The statement you are currently claiming is a negative because you used the word "cannot", so you cannot prove that you cannot prove a negative huh?

Secondly, the laws of contradiction can prove a negative.
For example, round squares *do not* exist, because they *cannot* exist. Laws of contradiction.
