I am currently in Tae Kwon do. I lost 3 lbs. My goal is to get back down to 125 or 130 lbs. What else can i do to help me lose more weight?

It takes time and it takes consistency in your training. How many times per week do you work out? It would have to be at least 3 to start seeing consistent results. And don't limit your work outs to the dojo - you can walk on the weekends or your days where you aren't training, as well as do other sports. I used to play racquetball right before MA and found that it not only gave me a great workout, but the combination was good for speed and agility too. Branch out and try different things instead of just focusing on the one thing to help with the weight loss.

Stick with it... as you progress through rank.. you will be pushed to higher limits... as far as diets everyone is big on the Atkins diet, but I firmly believe in just not drinking soda... Instead drink, water... lightly sweetened tea (I also am against artificial sweeteners) ... Gatorade in moderation... Sodas zap your energy, so not only do they pack in the calories, they inhibit your ability to burn them... just my opinion... stick with your TKD... and if you take it seriously enough everything else will take care of itself... side note... I recently joined a Muay Thai school because all I read on hear is how TKD is "not a fighting system" (from a previous poster) and how Muay Thai is everything.... Ten years removed from my training... (trained for 6 years) ... it's just a spacing style difference... I can handle the MT guys at long range, and they can handle me in close... I am really enjoying MT, but it is no better or no worse that TKD... Against MT guys that are in far better shape than I am (that have trained less than 3 years.. again I had 6 years... I can handle them fairly easily)... Even a 10 year Muay Thai guy doesn't know what to do with all the kicks coming from long range... Sorry had to add that

Just try to get a healthier diet. By diet I don't mean eating only yoguret and water, but get a balanced diet of veggies, meats, breads, and fruits. Try to avoid soda and candy as much as possible. The most important thing though, is to have consistent exercise. So maybe try to do more tkd classes a week. And try to go to the gym maybe 2-3 times a week if you have time. The best time to exercise is before you go to sleep. Try to do a medium amount of pushups and situps/crunches or anything else you want everyday before going to sleep. Don't forget to leave out anything. Repitition and consistence is the secret to be good at anything.

Start a weight training program. Your body will continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after you have lifted weights and it coupled with some other type of aerobic activity increases the effectiveness of weight loss by a huge amount. While martial arts is not always the most effective aerobic activity weight training will compliment it very well making your kicks, punches, strikes, and blocks stronger and quicker.

in the mornings, run around the whole block about 2 times, eat healthy but don't starve yourself, do sit-ups, push-ups, crunches and other exerzises for your thieghs, stomache, hip or buttox. do tae-kwon do for about 3-4 times a week and if you keep that up, you'll get to your goal

If you're loosing, be happy for it. Dieting often causes a bounce back effect, where you gain back what you lost. It's better to get into a daily routine where your weight will be in that desired level.
