AELPLERMAGARONEN (Alpler Macaroni)
1 lb medium sized potatoes (suitable for boiling)
1/2 lb macaroni
1/2 strong cheese, grated (e.g. Appenzeller)
2 fluid oz cream
1 fluid oz milk
2 large onions
1-2 cloves garlic
butter greasing the pan
salt
flour for sprinkling
Clarified butter for frying
Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes (slightly smaller than the macaroni, so that they both cook in the same time). Cook macaroni and potatoes together in lightly salted water until the macaroni are "al dente". Drain well. Grease an oven-proof baking dish, adn lay in it alternate layers of the potato/macaroni mixture and the grated cheese. Boil up the cream and milk and pour them over the dish. Put the dish in the middle of the preheated oven 350º and leave for 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted but not changed color. Mealwhile slice the onions into thin rings and chop the garlic fine. Sprinkle with flour, and fry until golden in the butter, turning constantly. Allow to drain on paper towels and arrange over the macaroni. Serve with Ankestockii (applesauce)
Ingredients for applesauce:
1 1/2 lb sour apples
1 oz butter
2 fluid oz apple juice
sugar
Method: Peel and slice apples, removing the cores. Heat the butter in a skillet and saute the apples briefly. Sprinkle sugar over them to lightly caramelize them. Add juice and allow to cook gently until all the liquid is absorbed.

Fondue is easy and really tasty! You can do a cheese fondue. All you need is the correct pot to keep the fondue in, buy the fondue at trader joes and cut up some french bread. Or you could do a chocolate fondue. You can also buy that chocolate ready to put in the fondue pot as well. Dip fruit like strawberries or even sponge cake. Yummy!
Here is a site with history and recipe information on fondue:

I'll second fondue with crusty French bread. The ingredients are a clove of crushed garlic, gruyère cheese and wine. The alcohol evaporates when you melt the cheese, but if your school is anal about booze, use grape juice instead.

I would think that hot cocoa would be considered as Swiss since they're known for their chocolate. Just make it with milk sugar, cocoa and a touch of salt...the recipe is on the can of Hershey's cocoa. But I wouldn't take in packets of Swiss Miss or that sort of thing.
