I don't see where being an empath is good or evil. Some of us have it some don't.

most people would think that you would have to be evil to be empathic but they do not understand
have you ever seen your best friend walking along and trip over her own feet in front of a crowd that she was trying to impress? how did you feel did you? did you look just long enough to see that she was ok and then pretend that you didn't see what happened or did you pause just long enough to see that she was ok and then feel her embarrassment with her?
if you felt the embarrassment then you would be empathetic

I guess it would depend who you ask...
BUT an empath simply takes on the emotions or physical symptoms of another. So I guess it depends on who you were "sensitive" to....
