It means you're not capable of seeing beyond the color of an insect's skin. Have you actually tried getting to know this ladybug? You might find out that you both have more in common than you ever knew.

ladybugs come in a wide variety of colors, including red, orange, pink, yellow and black. They can have as many as 20 spots.....or no spots at all. There is a ladybug called the Chilocorus renipustulatus. it's black and there also other black ladybugs. The second link leads to a bunch of ladybug pictures.

There are many species of ladybugs. In some the base color may be red, orange, yellow, white or black, and the spots likewise may differ in number, distribution, and color.

In biologic terms- that ladybugs ancestors have been around something black and predators have been attacking. So as mother nature does her stuff the ladybug starts to adapt and survive. It camouflages into its environment to survive...
its all survival of the fittest. (adaptation takes a LOONG time!)
or it stepped in something idk. ;)
