Because ecards aren't as thoughtful as a real card. An ecard is just a few clicks and you're done. A real card takes the time to go to the store, pick one out, sign it yourself and put it in an envelope and mail it. A real card shows real thought. An ecard just seems like an afterthought or a cheap cop-out. I know that was probably not your intention, but your recipients may not see it that way.

Thats because they only live and breath for themselfs. Yes they are self centered. A true friend would think of you before themself. I bet they never send you cards, and if so. Find people that feel the way I do. Family and friends come first. Yes it is better to give than to receive. Provided they also give.

Maybe they get lots of spam and they don't recognize it as an ecard from you. A lot of ecards go directly to spam or bulk folders and then just get deleted before anyone looks at it. Buy a card and snail mail it.... it's more personal that way anyways.

I ask myself the same question all the time. I will write an email to my aunt and she will never respond. Let's say for instance, she has had something remodeled at her house, and I write to ask how it turned out. She will never ever respond. Same with my sister-in-law. I write very loving and thoughtful emails to people and about half will respond, yet will send me tons of forwarded junk. I think people are basically just self-centered and inconsiderate, and I'm just tired of trying to figure them out.

For some reason people do not respond to e-mail unless it is for business. That's just the way it is in e-space. But I do agree with U. People should acknowledge receipt of e-mail. They could even have a standard notice made up so all they have to do is click on it to send it.

You want to be thanked for an email card? Oh, come on, get off your high horse. You can send 1000 of those to everyone in your addressbook with a click. It sounds like you are more concerned with a thanks, than any kind thoughts you send in the card. Furthermore, people probably are aware of this side of you and don't WANT to thank you. You don't sound very nice in this question, hopefully you are a nicer person in real life.

It happened to me too!!! Why? I also knew they picked up from email notification. I waited and waited for them to acknowledge, thinking they must be busy, but no thanks from them for the rest of the year!! So I did the same to them when they sent me an e-card!! Call me petty, but that should make them feel it.
