It seems to have developed several independent times here, but that might be a human thing, not a life thing. I wouldn't be surprised if aliens had religion, but it really depends on how different they are to us.

I think dogs have religion. They worship people don't they?
I think any animal that has a herd mentality like humans, wolfs, cows, chickens, sheep, whales, etc could develop a religion. Because they all have a built in instinct to follow a leader. And that is what religions is basically the urge to follow a leader.

There could be life hundreds of light years away in undiscovered galaxy's.
The whole universe hasn't been explored yet, not to mention we hardly have enough gas to get to mars so who knows what else might be out there.

They would probably worship the skys, you know, like their star any moons thay have and other stars.
