...don't you feel that those of us who are skeptical devote more time than we should to the narrow views of an anti-American Christian cult which is, globally, of scant significance? As for me, as an American who came of age in the company of fierce believers, I have questions honest questions which only 'thinking' Christians could answer for me. The fundamentalists are what they are, rather pitiful, brainwashed folks who are, as cultists, fixated on a god of their own making.

No I don't think "we" can devote too much time to these radicals. And don't kid yourself about their insignificance. The American Christian fundamentalist is no different than the Muslim fundamentalist in Iraq. These fanatics brainwashed as they are pose a great threat to genuine freedom everywhere.I would like to hear some of your honest questions.Your superior attitude is of no use though.

The atheists want and do paint all believers with the same broad brush at every opportunity. They do the exact same thing as the fundies do. Make grossly inaccurate statements and generalizations.

Maybe you're right, but I think your're underestimating the power the brainwashed fundamentalists have.

There is power in numbers, it's time Atheists learn that.

I'm entirely with you, save that I am (thankfully) not a US citizen. I do get your point, though.
