So I bought a mattress that was too hard (like, rock hard...I have back problems and thought it would help) and have tried different toppers to make it softer. The egg crate foam was still too hard, plus it gets really hot! The memory foam also gets really hot. So far, I have liked the wool topper the best, but it flattens out after a couple of months and is not as soft anymore...and for $250 I couldn't keep buying new ones.

Should I actually get a softer bed, or is there a miracle topper out there that stays soft and isn't hot?

Thank you for any help!!

We messed with diffrent toppers for our hard bed for years before finally biting the bullet and purchasing a Sleep Number bed. I'm here to tell ya, it is the best money I ever spent for anything. Ever.

It's a high dollar purchase, but you will not believe the difference. Check into a Radisson Hotel - they have Sleep Number beds - you can test drive one there or at a Sleep Number store.

Dang - I should be on commission.

When getting a puppy or adult dog it's always important the whole family is 100% sure of getting it. Thats why surprising your loved ones with pets isn't a good idea however nice it sounds. As you already have doubts about the puppy, i don't think it's ideal that you get it. With a young child already and one on the way life is going to be very chaotic and adding a puppy to that just creates more mayhem. Not only does the pup require basic obediance training, it also needs to be throughly socilised, walked, etc. Without the right training from young, a bernese mountain dog will grow up large and unruly and possibly be a danger to your children. Explain to your husband that you are still greifing for your cats and feel that getting a puppy isn't right yet. All the best.

nono, you don't need to get a new bed--you can get a featherbed that you put on top of the mattress and it's SO comfortable. it's kind of expensive but so worth it.

Try a feather bed. You can get them on overstock.com reasonably priced.
