that's why i went into music. it helped calm me down. but then after going through music school, i ended up stressing myself on perfecting the music. and playing wasn't so much fun.

i would start searching new genres of music. i personally love radiohead's amnesiac, or bjork. kings of convenience is lovely too. jazz is awesome. if you are a jazz improv player, then start listening to classical...

what you need is a beer...or a bottle of wine, a quiet friday night alone.

but really, what i would do, is sit down, and think about the past, the happy times, and what made you happy...or when you went out with your friends...ect.

and then plan that something that you ahven't done in a while for this weekend or the next and do it.

you need to laugh...you need to go out and have a good time. i don't know how old you are-and beer isn't the answer haha

but my point is-go out with your friends. create new memories.bc life for me is about creating new ones

try and find some other things that relax you. Music has always got me more riled up but I don't play just listen so I take my dog for a walk or just go by myself. water has been a soother for me. See I have stress and anger issues adn I tried professional help but it just cost me alot of money and didn't really do lots for me. You need to find things that relax you and do those when ever you are stressing on something. I bet you even have problems sleeping cuz you can't shut yoiur mind down. Try Melatonin for that it is a chemical your brain makes that is supposed to help you sleep. Good luck.

Are you trying to do too many things at once? If so,,,give a few of them up. Don't take life too seriously and get a great education that no one can take away. Exercise is good for stress relief. Dance to the music to get your blood flowing too. Talking is a good thing too. Remember that we have a hand in almost everything that goes on in our lives and we make our own happiness. We have choices to make in life and that's what is so cool about it.

You need to figure out WHY you're always stressed and do something about THAT. Good ways to deal with stress are:
* get enough sleep each night
* eat right
* walk/run/physical activity every day (maybe a punching bag)
* deep breathing exercises
* massage
* read a book
*talk to a friend or someone you trust

well,what are you stressed about?? life Is life... i always find that worrying about things never changes the outcome..things are gonna happen and sitting there fretting about that isnt gonna change the outcome...kick back,pop in a movie,open your favorite drink and just enjoy the time doing nothing!!!! & try writing lyrics to the music you play.....a good way to express yourself with your artistic talent !!!!! : )....re bk7794,,,,relaxing IS calming to the mind and body!!!we should all be able to do that without " Gods" help....get a grip on reality and RELAX already...when we take the the time to relax----we are helping ourselves!!!! no help needed..just a good movie and some popcorn ;)..as far as luck.....ever play lotto????..nough said : )>>>>

Life is stressful. I'm not going to suggest therapy, because I don't believe in any of it. I've seen it first hand in a former job and I am now convinced that it's a bunch of muck. Now that I am in pharmacy, I see that meds are pretty much the answer to ALMOST everything. If you are so stressed that the stress is affecting your life, ask your doctor for something that will help to calm you down. Talk to your doctor.

start an exercise regimen You dont have to do anything hard. walk briskly for 1/2 mile or more per day. But let me advise that it is air you need. the breathing that you do during exercise is what relieves the stress and worry. try it it works

dude, honestly, the best thing for you to do now, is chill out on what is making you so stressed and start meditation, just so in the future you don't have any health problems

talking to your friend is good,, venting really is a good therapy. If you dont need pro help? but why not just see a reg dr and get an rx to help. not like an antidepressant but maybe like a nerve pill like xanex, or ativan ,.. or write in a journal.. read. this all helps me.
